Older Gal: And don’t you like really have to think about what to say?!

Young Gal: It’s just an easy way to say what you need without calling! Like when you are at work and can’t make a phone call, trust me IT MAKES SENSE!

Older Gal: What if you are having a conversation with somebody in person and you got a text.

Young Gal: (grrr) Well you can either respond later if it’s an interesting or serious conversation or quickly respond, it’s not that hard to multitask!
